Send some udp packets at maximum throughput. So my question is how can I make this work? I simply want to start testing the interface. TX errors 0 dropped 0 overruns 0 carrier 0 collisions 0 I have seen this video guide but it doesnt seem to. My other network interface do not seem to interfere: λ ifconfig I have a DAC cable that is unstable (looses connection) and I need to make a loopback test of the cable. I can sporadically ping myself: λ ping 192.168.1.50 Link negotiation: Tried both auto and manual which didn't seem to make a difference.I configured the network interface as follows: And in Linux I sporadically see a link being established at 10mbit for a short amount of time. Now when I plug this cable into a network port I do see the lights coming on. So I build my own loopback cable with the following pinout: To check if your endpoint interconnects with our video conference system, we provide a loop back test. So I looked online and this seemed possible. ANd just see if I can send data and receive what I send. Since I don't want to setup two machines and run software on both the test connection my first thought was to create a loopback cable. The Networx® RJ45 Loop back tester will negate the necessity to carry a bulky network hub around. So I need to create a simple process to test a large amount of gigabit network ports. If the link LED on your switch is active, then that means that the connection is operating perfectly. These Loop back testers will make the life of a network administrator really easy. All you have to do is simply plug the Networx® RJ45 loopback tester into the jack that you want to test or the one you are suspicious about. It looks like a simple plug at first glance but the compact, rugged design makes it highly portable and usable in the tightest corners. An RJ45 Loopback Tester is an exceedingly user friendly cable tester.
